March 19, 2020

To Staff and Healthcare Partners,

I know that for many Canadians, the last few days have heightened feelings of concern and uncertainty around COVI0-19. Right now, we are focused on how we can continue to serve our communities in this time of need, while also being part of the solution. So today, we are announcing some changes that will go into effect Saturday March 21, 2020. We will not be offering Lab services at MLW Specimen Collection Centers on the weekends and decided to close some of our Specimen Collection Centers completely until further notice. This includes our labs at 2462 Howard suite 132 (Ziter Bldg.), 1909 Tecumseh Rd. East and 2224 Walker Rd.

At this time, our remaining Specimen Collection Centers will remain open, but with reduced hours. Our Specimen Collection Centers are doing everything they can to deliver essential laboratory needs. We are committed to doing our best to continue helping you navigate through this challenge.

If you plan to visit one of our Specimen Collection Centers please know that we are continuing to take precautions such as enhanced cleaning and screening of patients for COVID-19. To further protect our employees and yourselves, we ask that when you are in one of our Specimen Collection Centers, you practice safe social distancing. If you are feeling ill please schedule your visit for another time.

We are here to support you and the local community, while at the same time, doing our part to reduce the spread of COVID-19. With all of us working together, and supporting one another, we will get through this.

Please refer to our website for changes.
